Fuck Photoshop: This dude creates masterpieces using only MS Paint

Pat Hines is a guy who spent 10 years illustrating an entire fucking e-book using MS Paint. He’s also our new hero.

Meet Pat Hines, the dude who illustrated an entire novel – Camp Redblood And The Essential Revenge – using only Microsoft Paint.

The Boston-based genius illustrator recently self-published Camp Redblood And The Essential Revenge – a tale set in a summer camp that tells the story of monsters and youths getting up to mischief. Apparently Hines wasn’t any good at using Photoshop or other programs, so he decided to stick with what he knew to visualise his story.

As Hines explains via his Imgur:

“I suck at Photoshop and other programs, and have worked exclusively in Microsoft Paint for over ten years……I honed my craft working long overnights at a hospital reception desk…Then decided to write and self-publish an e-book about a summer camp set in the 1980’s…a summer camp surrounded by ghosts and monsters…and filled with goofy campers and counselors, where the teenagers are always trying to get drunk or laid…”

The results are mind-numbing.

There are a few artists out there who create using MS Paint – and it’s always a novelty because the program is so, so basic and some people have spent the time to get really, really good at it. But these people are nothing compared to Hines.

The man is a god.
