Booze like Salvador Dalí with his personal wine guide, to be published for the first time in 40 years

A wine guide last published in 1978 by Salvador Dalí will hit the shelves once again, thanks to the heroes at Taschen.

Dalí is the rare artist whose commercial work almost trumped his gallery offerings. Whether it’s his illustrations for the 1960s special edition of Alice and Wonderland or, believe it or not, his shoot for Playboy magazine in 1978, some of my favourite pieces were birthed when he was essentially handed a cheque and told ‘do your thing you crazy bastard’.

“A real connoisseur does not drink wine but tastes of its secrets.” Want to drink wine like Salvador Dalí? For the first time in 40 years, you can.

In proper Dalí style, the wines aren’t arranged by berry, region or year. Rather, they opted for Wines of Generosity, Wines of Frivolity, and Wines of the Impossible, amongst others.
