US label Waxploitation have announced a new book featuring collabs between visual artists and songwriters such as Justin Vernon, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Devendra Banhart and many more.

The project was started by label head Jeff Antebi, who asked a variety of his favourite musicians to collaborate with visual artists on a set of illustrated stories.

Over 30 songwriters contributed tales to the project. All proceeds will go to three education-focused not for profit programs, Room to ReadPencils of Promise, and 826.

Below you can watch a short clip that runs through snippets of the book and features narration from the likes of King Krule, Joey Bada$$, Nick Offerman, Zach Galifianakis and Danny DeVito.

So cool.
