Bob Dylan announces new 30 song album Triplicate and shares a serene Frank Sinatra cover

Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan has announced that his 38th studio album is on the way, coming to you at the close of March. The appropriately titled Triplicate marks the legendary singer/songwriter’s first ever triple album, a whopping 30 songs stretched over three discs.

The entire track list was self-produced by Dylan and sees him covering classic American cannon from former masters like Frank Sinatra, Charles Strouse, Lee Adams, Harold Hupfield, Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh.

Bob Dylan has just announced Triplicate, his premiere triple album and the first new music since his crowning as a Nobel Prize winner.

Triplicate will be arranged thematically in three sets of ten song sequences, and Dylan has shared the first taste of the record to compliment it’s announcement. I Could Have Told You covers Sinatra’s 1959 original, which you can watch below.

Dylan has delved into Sinatra’s catalogue in depth previously, his last two albums Shadows in the Night and Fallen Angels consisting entirely of Sinatra covers.
