Bluesfest just got a whole lot bigger with 14 new artists added to the bill

Bluesfest is always a massive festival, each year drawing some really big names to the Byron Bay surrounds. 2016 will be no exception with Kendrick Lamar, Brian Wilson and Tom Jones topping the bill. The festival just got a whole lot bigger too with the addition of neo-soul trailblazer D’Angelo amongst 14 new inclusions to the already bulging lineup.

Bluesfest lineup

Speaking of the new additions, festival director Peter Noble has boasted, “When Bluesfest confirmed Kendrick Lamar we had the guy who produced the best record in Hip Hop this year, and now we have the guy who recorded the best current record in R&B: D’Angelo, we now have playing at Bluesfest, on the same stage and on the same night (Thu 24th March), the two most important innovators in Rap and R&B today.”

Also joining the already eclectic lineup will be indie rock legends Cold War Kids, Oakland roots frontrunner Fantastic Negrito, funk rockers Con Brio plus some incredible Aussie additions Harts, Hiatus Kaiyote and Steve Smyth.

Bluesfest will be taking place from Thursday 24th March to Monday 28th March 2016 on the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm in Byron Shire on the outskirts of Byron Bay.
