Melbourne psych pop trio Broadway Sounds are back with their new single Shonky Man, that they have also released a video for.
Shonky Man follows the release of the single Sing It Again earlier this year, and comes before an expected EP release later this year. The single started off as a rough track, and according to the band, turned into “Boney M’s tour bus getting hijacked in downtown Johannesburg and its wheels getting taken off.” The obscure, colourful video features images of material goods and fast food to ridicule overconsumption and the idea of “ownership”.
You can catch Broadway Sounds at Paradise Music Festival and Beyond The Valley Festival, along with some headline shows later in the year, that are yet to release details.
